Brings Food Hall at One Metropolitan Square to Full Capacity
JLL retail experts announced today that Hiro Pokè Co. opens July 9 in The Eatery, a food hall dining destination on the ground floor of One Metropolitan Square in downtown St. Louis. The restaurant will be the fourth tenant to open, bringing The Eatery to full capacity. The 10,000-square-foot food hall, with its modern design and newly opened large outdoor patio, has become a prime lunch destination in the heart of downtown St. Louis.
Rick Spector, senior vice president of retail brokerage for JLL, said, “There is no question TheEatery has helped breathe new life and energy into the Central Business District. It’s prime location and unique food offerings have been a huge draw to not only the downtown workforce, but also to those visiting the city.”
Hiro Poke Co. is the sister company of the successful Hiro Asian Kitchen, also downtown. Poke, which is cubed and marinated raw ahi tuna in specialty seasonings over a bed of rice or greens, is heavily influenced by Japanese and Asian cuisines. In addition to the Poke bowls offered, Hiro Poke Co will be focusing on varieties of ramen bowls as well. Other restaurants in the Eatery include Arista Gourmet, which offers salads, soups and sandwiches; Dino’s Deli, with gyros and other authentic Greek recipes; and Kimcheese Asian Fusion, with a combination of Korean, Mexican and American flavors.
The 601W Companies, owners of One Metropolitan Square, last year invested $2.5 million into renovating the space now occupied by The Eatery. Owners are also considering upgrades to the building’s common areas and marketing center, in addition to other capital improvements to the property to benefit existing and incoming tenants.
The Eatery is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the southwest corner of North Broadway and Olive Street.
